PADS is a western Canadian charity which aims to “to Breed, Raise, Train and Place Assistance Dogs for persons with a physical disability or who are deaf or hard-of-hearing and to support these client/dog teams for the working life of the PADS’ Assistance Dog.”
Partners in the Horn of Africa is a non-denominational charity started in BC which raises funds to assist Ethiopians in “infrastructure improvement, health & welfare and women’s anti-poverty projects.” Partners uses 100% of the donations towards aid projects; none of it is used for anything other than this.
Dan Rogers
Hi! My name is Dan Rogers, and I am a life-long Vancouverite and dog owner. Over the years, I have been fortunate to have been able to travel to all 7 continents, with more than 30 countries along the way; to have lived in 3 separate countries on three separate continents; to have met many different cultures and learned smatterings of many different languages; to have gotten my psychology degree from UBC; and lastly, but definitely not least, to have had the pleasure of meeting many different breeds and personalities of dogs!

Hi! My name is Ryan Bridgewater and I live in Vancouver, BC, where I was born and raised. I have a Marketing Degree from Langara College, which helped me develop my own business, Ante Up Clothing, in 2005. This experience allowed me to develop a number of qualities and skills, including interpersonal skills, business skills and management capability (self-motivation skills, time management skills, administrative skills, and interpersonal skills). I bring these qualities and skills to Dog WAGS and I look forward to this new venture.

“Ryan has been walking Parker for a while. When I tell Parker he is going for his walk his ears perk up. Ryan comes to collect him and his tail wags in anticipation of a great walk through the woods with his friends. When he is brought home he is clean and lays out on the kitchen floor for a nap after his exercusion for the day. He is very thoughtful and on time and I know Parker is in good hands.”

Dan and Ryan have regularly walked my dog Ripley, a high energy young lab cross. Dan and Ryan are always enthusiastic, cheerful and professional, as well as very accommodating of our schedule. It’s nice to go off to work knowing I will come home to a tired and contented pup. Thanks guys!
